# A Cash on Delivery button with contact verification

COD PRO adds a "Buy with Cash on Delivery" button beside your theme buttons. Shoppers choose a phone or email, try a six-digit code, add their details once and review the order. A correct code can mark the resulting order Pre-Confirmed. If sending fails, they can continue unverified and the normal confirmation flow applies.

## Example with a verified phone code

1. The shopper taps **Buy with Cash on Delivery** on your product page.
2. They enter their phone number and receive a one-time code by WhatsApp, SMS or a phone call.
3. They type the code, then add their name and address once, with browser autofill. Street suggestions appear as they type, and the form shows a state list and checks the postal code for their country.
4. They check their order: every item in the cart with its options and price, and the total. They can take items out.
5. Shopify checkout opens with the name, phone, delivery and billing address filled in. They place the order, and it arrives in COD PRO marked Pre-Confirmed.

Email-only shoppers can use a six-digit email code instead. If sending fails, they can retry and then continue unverified. Those orders follow the normal confirmation flow.

## Why it matters

Checking a reachable phone or email before checkout helps reduce fake COD orders. When code delivery fails, the form still lets the shopper reach checkout without claiming the contact was verified.

The button is included. Paid phone verification channels use the country rates shown on the [pricing page](/pricing). Continuing without a code sends no verification message.

### Can I add a Cash on Delivery button to my Shopify product page?
Yes. COD PRO adds a "Buy with Cash on Delivery" button under Add to cart. You can rename it, and it follows your theme's button style.

### How does it stop fake COD orders?
A correct code verifies a reachable phone or email before checkout. If a code cannot be sent, the shopper may still order without a verified badge; COD PRO then uses your normal confirmation flow.

### Do I still use Shopify checkout?
Yes. The shopper uses your normal Shopify checkout with the details they provided filled in where supported.

### Does the customer get another confirmation message after ordering?
Verified orders skip a second confirmation message when the checkout contact matches. Unverified orders follow your normal confirmation settings.

### Can I hide Shopify's Add to cart or Buy it now buttons?
Yes. In the Form Builder you choose which of your theme's buttons show, their order next to the COD button, the COD button's label and style, and an optional sticky button. A shopper who uses Buy it now after verifying checks out just that product, and their cart stays as it was.

### How do I see which orders were verified?
Verified orders arrive in COD PRO with one Pre-Confirmed badge. Its tooltip names the channel, for example "Verified at checkout by WhatsApp code, no confirmation message needed".

### Do I need a separate COD form app?
No. The button, the verification, the details form and the order confirmation all come from COD PRO, in one app.
