How sellers in Czechia use COD PRO

Confirm Shopify dobírka orders after checkout by WhatsApp, automated voice call, or email. Czech customer messages are available. During a voice call, the customer presses 1 to confirm or 2 to cancel. Selected orders can remain on a real Shopify fulfillment hold until the customer confirms.

Auto mode tries email first, then WhatsApp, then a call, and stops when it receives the first reply. The Buy with Cash on Delivery button can also verify the shopper’s phone by WhatsApp or SMS code before Shopify checkout.

Getting started

Install COD PRO from the Shopify App Store, top up the prepaid wallet, select Czech, and choose the post-order confirmation channels. Add rules for dobírka orders that should receive a Shopify fulfillment hold. No Twilio or Meta account is needed.

Cash on delivery in Czechia

In Czechia, cash on delivery is commonly called dobírka. Use that term where customers select the payment method and in any instructions about paying on delivery. Czech is available for COD PRO customer messages.

After checkout, confirmation can go through WhatsApp, automated voice call, or email. On the call, the customer presses 1 to confirm or 2 to cancel. If the order matches your rules, a real Shopify fulfillment hold keeps it waiting until confirmation, so the fulfillment team can manage it in Shopify.

For verification before checkout, the Buy with Cash on Delivery button sends a one-time code through WhatsApp or SMS. The code verifies the phone number before the shopper reaches Shopify checkout. SMS is not a channel for confirming the Shopify order after it is placed.

Couriers and shipment updates

Czech sellers commonly use PPL, DPD, GLS, and Zásilkovna. COD PRO does not integrate directly with these couriers. Keep using your normal parcel-booking workflow and add the carrier and tracking details to the Shopify fulfillment.

COD PRO uses the tracking from the Shopify fulfillment for the shipment notification. You can choose PPL for one parcel and DPD, GLS, Zásilkovna, or another courier for the next without changing the confirmation flow. Check the tracking information in Shopify before completing fulfillment.

Example

With the COD button: A shopper in Prague chooses dobírka, verifies their phone with a WhatsApp or SMS code, and continues to Shopify checkout with the same number. The seller ships with PPL, adds the tracking to the Shopify fulfillment, and COD PRO uses that tracking for the shipment notification.

Without the button: A shopper completes normal checkout for the same order. COD PRO sends a post-order WhatsApp confirmation in Czech, while a real Shopify fulfillment hold keeps the order waiting. The customer confirms, the hold is released, and the seller fulfills the parcel with the PPL tracking stored in Shopify.
